EN-GJL-300 cast iron tabletop – a solid base for everyday work
The tabletop of the SPARTUS FERROS D28 welding table is made of EN-GJL-300 cast iron, a material characterised by high rigidity and very good functional properties in workshop and production applications. The tabletop is 20mm thick, providing a stable working surface suitable for fixing, positioning and welding steel components. The cast iron construction provides a solid base for the workstation while allowing the table to remain an attractive solution within its market segment.
Ø28 mm system holes – functional fixing grid
The tabletop is equipped with Ø28mm system holes, arranged in a regular 100 × 100mm grid. This layout enables convenient positioning of fixing elements and quick preparation of the workstation for the task at hand. The holes are additionally chamfered, which facilitates the use of D28 system components and improves everyday operating convenience.
Millimetre scale – faster component positioning
The table surface features a millimetre scale, which facilitates approximate positioning of components without the need to take additional measurements every time. This is a practical solution when setting up profiles, frames and repeatable structures. The scale helps streamline workstation preparation, reduces setup time and supports repeatability in subsequent configurations.
D28 system – flexible fixing and positioning of components
The Ø28mm hole system in a 100 × 100mm grid provides a high degree of freedom when configuring the workstation. It enables quick positioning of clamps, stops, angle brackets and other fixing elements during welding and assembly. The D28 system is particularly useful for:

- fix components in a vertical position,
- position parts at a specific angle,
- create three-dimensional assembly fixtures,
- stabilise frames and structures,
- expand workstation configurations using system components.
The 3D side panel significantly increases the versatility of the table in everyday use.
Ribbed construction – increased tabletop stability
The underside of the tabletop is equipped with a reinforcing rib system. The ribs increase the stability of the working surface under load and when working with fixed components. This construction provides reliable performance during intensive workshop and production use.
Full compatibility with SPARTUS D28 tools
SPARTUS FERROS has been designed according to the D28 standard, making it compatible with a wide range of tools and fixing components used within this system. The workstation can be equipped with, among others, system clamps, assembly angle brackets, stops, pins and locating bolts, prisms, spacers and accessories for extending the working surface. This makes it possible to expand the workstation as production requirements change without the need to replace the entire fixing system.
